Mayor Jeong Jung Seon of Pyeongtaek City, who has been in his official visit to Uzbekistan, met with Sirdarya region Governor H.E. Mr. Gafurjon Mirzayev to sign friendship and cooperation city agreement between the two cities.
The initial details of this friendship and cooperation city agreement MOU were finalized during Governor Gafurjon Mirzayev’s official visit to Korea. However, additional, and more diverse details were added to the agreement during Mayor Jeong Jung Seon ’s visit to Sirdarya region.
This visit by the Pyeongtaek city to the Sirdarya region, is expected to expedite the development of friendship and cooperation between the two cities in various economic cooperation, and active exchanges in the future.
This official visit was made possible with the support of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Korea, as well as Mr. Kim Chang Keon, chairman of the board of directors of the Korea Uzbekistan Business Association, who facilitated and accompanied the entire schedule and provided insight on relevant business inquiry. During the opening ceremony of the Representative Office of Korea-Uzbek Business Association (KUBA) in Sirdarya region, Governor Gafurjon Mirzayev requested the association to continue its positive efforts to develop economic cooperation between Korea and Sirdarya region.
