On 12–13 March, as part of a two-day official visit, Chairman Kim Chang Keon, accompanied by a delegation from Pyeongtaek City Hall led by Mayor Jeong Jang Sun, visited the Fergana Region. During the visit, a meeting was held with the Governor Khayrullo Bozorov, at which a wide range of issues were discussed, and a business forum was held with the participation of associations and chambers of commerce and industry from both regions.

During the visit, Kim Chang Keon and Governor Bozorov, who share a long-standing friendship, held a lively exchange of views on attracting investment from Korean companies and ways to resolve the problems faced by entrepreneurs. In particular, Khayrullo Bozorov expressed his deep gratitude to Chairman Kim Chang Keon for his active support and close cooperation over the past 10 years, noting his contribution to the economic development of Fergana, the strengthening of friendship between the two countries, and his assistance in establishing sister-city ties between local authorities.

In addition, during the visit, intensive B2B meetings took place between leading enterprises of the Pyeongtaek Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Fergana Region Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The parties achieved significant results regarding future investment and trade, agreeing on the further sustainable development of their partnership.
