On February 10, in the meeting room of the Association of Korean Cultural Centers of Uzbekistan, First Deputy Chairman Kim Chang Keon was awarded the Order “For Social Contribution” by the Government of Uzbekistan and the Association of Korean Cultural Centers of Uzbekistan. 

The Order for Social Contribution was awarded to First Deputy Chairman Kim Chang Keon based on the government's public assessment of various volunteer activities (medical services, cultural services, various charity events, etc.) for ethnic Koreans in Uzbekistan (180 thousand people) over the past years and was presented to him on behalf of the government of Uzbekistan by Victor Pak, chairman of the Association of Korean Cultural Centers of Uzbekistan, deputy speaker of the lower house of the Oliy Majlis. 

At the handover ceremony, Victor Park, Chairman of the Association of Korean Cultural Centres of Uzbekistan, expressed his sincere gratitude to First Deputy Chairman Kim Chang Keon for his various volunteer and charitable activities with devoted love for 180,000 compatriots, while First Deputy Chairman Kim Chang Keon, for his part, said he would continue to promote friendly cooperation between Korea and Uzbekistan, strive to alleviate the suffering of Korean compatriots and further strengthen their pride as a proud Korean nation. 

Meanwhile, First Deputy Chairman Kim Chang Keon was awarded the Supreme Order of Dustlik in 2021 by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan for his contribution to the economic development of the country, and was also awarded the Order of Diplomatic Achievement by the Government of Uzbekistan (Prosecutor General's Office) in 2023.
