On April 26, the Chairman of the Board of Directors Kim Chang Keon and the Mayor of Pyeongtaek Chong Chang Son, with the heads of organizations associated with the city of Pyeongtaek, and representatives of large companies paid an official visit to the Sirdarya region.

This visit was organized at the official invitation of the new khakim of the Syrdarya region, Mr. Akmaljon Mahmudaliev, the visit was attended by the Chairman of the Pyeongtaek Chamber of Commerce and Industry Lee Bo Yong, the Chairman of the Pyeongtaek Industrial Management Corporation Yu Ki Dok, as well as about 20 representatives of the Korean-Uzbek Business Association and large companies of Pyeongtaek city.

The main agenda of the visit included multilateral discussions to explore the possibility of entry of excellent Pyeongtaek companies into the Syrdarya region (FEZ, etc.), as well as an in-depth discussion of the project of sending workers from Uzbekistan to companies located in Pyeongtaek, which are experiencing a serious shortage of labor.

In addition, significant agreements were reached on the further development of active exchange and cooperation after the signing of the Memorandum of Friendly Cooperation between the city of Pyeongtaek and the Syrdarya region in 2022.

Meanwhile, at this meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding on exchange and cooperation was signed between the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Pyeongtaek City and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Syrdarya Region, and in his turn, Mayor Chong Song-jong officially invited khakim Akmaljon Mahmudaliev to Pyeongtaek during this year.
