On April 7, the Tashkent branch of the Korea-Uzbekistan Business Association held a ceremony to appoint Elyor Ganiev, former Deputy Prime Minister, as an economic advisor.

Former Deputy Prime Minister Ganiev has served as the Republic of Uzbekistan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Minister of Foreign Trade, among other key government posts, making significant contributions to the development of economic cooperation between the Republic of Korea and Uzbekistan. He is particularly well known as a figure actively committed to strengthening relations with the Republic of Korea.

At the appointment ceremony that day, former Deputy Prime Minister Ganiev expressed his honor at being appointed as an advisor to the Korea-Uzbekistan Business Association — the only intergovernmental economic organization officially authorized by both countries. He pledged to actively support various projects carried out by the association and its affiliated companies in the Republic of Uzbekistan, drawing on his extensive experience and expertise as an economic specialist. He also expressed his intention to further contribute to the economic development of both countries and the strengthening of friendly cooperation.
