On June 14, the Youth Future Foundation of the Youth Association of Uzbekistan and the Korea International University of Uzbekistan held an agreement signing ceremony on the establishment and operation of the University’s Youth Entrepreneurship Center. The agreement is based on the instructions of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, who visited the Ferghana Region last June, on the creation of a startup support center for cooperation with universities and is the first signing ceremony for youth startup centers created at universities in Uzbekistan.
The Youth Entrepreneurship Center will provide training and guidance for all areas needed to create, test, and model hypotheses based on young people's ideas about the total amount of entrepreneurial support that will be used in practical business. Related systems and workshops, expert support and consultations with successful companies will continue.
Khairulla Sattarov, director of the Youth Future Fund, said: “This new startup center of the Uzbek-Korean International University will be the first example and model of 14 startup centers that are planned to be created in various regions of Uzbekistan in the future. Many students and young people in Uzbekistan are strongly encouraged to seize this opportunity and take an active part.”
“I think that the first youth start-up center among universities in Uzbekistan, created at the Korea International University of Uzbekistan (KIUF), means that it recognizes the system and process of training young entrepreneurs in Korea. We hope to consolidate the success stories of youth entrepreneurship and play a small but important role in the development of Uzbekistan, and the results will help establish exchange and cooperation with Korea, ”said Park Joon Ho, President of Korea International University in Uzbekistan.
