Korea - Uzbekistan Business Forum was held successfully



The Uzbekistan Economic Forum was held at the Dynasty Hall of the Shilla Hotel on the 23rd. The Forum, which was held on the theme of reform and investment for the economic development of Uzbekistan, was attended by more than 500 entrepreneurs and financiers from both countries.

The forum started with outstanding opening speeches by Park Youngman, CEO of Korea Chamber of Commerce, and Mirziyoyev, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, about active sales diplomacy. On the Korean side, Deputy Prime Minister Kim Dong-yeon, Minister of Industry and Resources Baek Woon-kyu, Chairman of the Northern Economic Committee Song Young-gil participated. On the Uzbek side, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Mr. Sadig, Chairman of the National Investment Committee Mr. Azim and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Mr. Ganiev conducted explanations and related presentations for Uzbekistan's investment environment.

With the state visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the hosting of the Economic Forum, MOU signing ceremony of the two countries concluded a MOU of over $10 billion in various industrial fields. Moreover, with the start of the financial reform in Uzbekistan, there will be active local investment from the domestic companies that were concerned about investment due to financial regulation.

Meanwhile, Evergreen Motors CEO Kim Chang Keon cooperated with the Korea Chamber of Commerce and the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Korea to organize the event. By such effort on promoting economic and civil diplomatic development of both nations, Mr. Kim Chang Keon received deep gratitude from the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Mirziyoyev as well as key figures from both countries.
