Governor of Fergana Region Visits Pyeongtaek City and Meets with Mayor…

On March 28, Governor Khayrullo Bozarov of Fergana Region and Chairman of the board of directors Kim Chang Keon of the Korea Uzbekistan Business Association, visited Pyeongtaek City Hall and the Pyeongtaek Chamber of Commerce. Mayor of Pyeongtaek Jung Jang Sun, Vice Mayor of Pyeongtaek Choi Won Yong, and six other delegates attended the meeting. During the meeting, active discussions were held on the lack of foreign labor supply, which is currently the biggest challenge for companies in Pyeongtaek City. The two sides agreed to resolve visa issues so that workers from Fergana Region can be employed at various companies in Pyeongtaek City from this year, and to discuss solutions for quick adaptation of workers after being dispatched, and training basic labor skills and basic Korean language skills through KIUF and vocational training centers in Fergana Region before being dispatched.

At the meeting, it was agreed that the delegation of companies in Pyeongtaek City and companies under the Pyeongtaek City Chamber of Commerce, headed by Mayor Jeong Jang Sun, will officially visit Fergana Region around May this year to promote various practical discussions.
