Incheon Metropolitan City – Fergana, Uzbekistan signs a Friendship and…
Incheon City (Mayor Yoo Jeong Bok), Vice Mayor of Culture, Welfare, and Political Affairs Lee Haeng Sook , visited Fergana, Uzbekistan to mark the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Korea and Uzbekistan, to establish friendly and cooperative relations.
The meeting was attended by Association Chairman of the board of directors Mr. Kim Chang Keon, Vice Mayor of Culture, Welfare and Political Affairs of Incheon City Ms. Lee Haeng Sook, and Governor of Fergana region H.E. Mr. Bozorov Hayrulla, Deputy Governor of Fergana region Iqboljon Ergashev and other governmental officials followed.
Fergana, the leading growth, and development city representing the eastern region of Uzbekistan, promised a close cooperation not only in vitalizing economic exchanges, but also in cultural exchanges. It is expected that the signing of this agreement will activate official exchanges and cooperation between the two cities.
In addition, they exchanged talks regarding expedite the opening of direct flights between Incheon and Fergana.
Deputy Mayor Ms. Lee Haeng Sook stated, “I hope the signing of this agreement, will quickly open direct flights from Incheon and Fergana international airports and such routes will strengthen and produce more activity of the economic cooperation, exchange in culture and sports between two cities.”
The signing of friendship and cooperation cities between the two cities was carried out with the overall support and cooperation of Chairman of the board of directors Kim Chang Keon as the international advisor of Incheon Metropolitan City.
