On the 29th, Incheon City Fire Department Chairman Heo Seok Gon paid an official visit to the Ferghana region and held meetings with Governor Mr. Bozarov, during the meeting in which a business agreement was signed to strengthen security cooperation between the two countries.
In December last year, the Incheon Fire Department provided a total of 8 fire engines, including 4 pump trucks, 2 water tankers and 2 ambulances, in cooperation with the Korea-Uzbekistan Business Association, and these equipments were provided to each designated region in August of this year, and fire experts were dispatched to provide technical assistance training, such as the operation and maintenance of vehicles, and the use of first aid equipment.
Also in September, a delegation for fires and disasters from the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Uzbekistan visited the Incheon Fire Department to evaluate advanced disaster response technologies.
This Memorandum of Understanding was prepared to strengthen friendship and cooperation relations, lay the foundation for various international exchanges, and build an international disaster cooperation system based on last year's exchanges.
The main content of the agreement includes the support of equipment such as fire engines to build fire safety infrastructure in Ferghana and the exchange of firefighters to improve disaster management systems in each country.
Chairman Heo Seok-gon said, "The two organizations will continue to develop fire fighting and environmental safety, and exchange and cooperation through systematic business cooperation."
