Video Conference about a greenhouse project in Karakalpakstan


On December 24 at 14:00, a video conference was held regarding the "Greenhouse Project in Karakalpakstan", which was began in December last year. The meeting was attended by Deputy Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade Alibek Kamalov, Deputy Minister of Agriculture Murat Kurvaniyazov, Deputy Khakim of Nukus and first deputy of the chairman of the Association Kim Chang Keon and discussed further plans for the implementation of the project the Republic of Karakalpakstan, which is postponed due to the COVID-19. Currently, in the neighboring Bukhara and Khorezm regions, including Karakalpakstan, it is planned to build greenhouses with an area of more than 1000 hectares in each region, and an agreement has been reached to create a training center in Nukus for training personnel for greenhouses. The first deputy of the chairman of the association, Kim Chan Keon, suggested that first to conduct practical courses through online training due to traffic restrictions during the pandemic and the CEO of the company iRU Co., Ltd. Choi Bong Joon added that he will be contacting with relevant agricultural technology institutes and agricultural universities to organizing online courses. Karakalpakstan also approved the testing of online training and the creation of a distribution center for agricultural products, which were proposed by the iRU Co., Ltd., and in conclusion, the parties agreed to continue discussing the project through social networks.
