On January 16, 2021, the South Korean company "Hanshin Engineering & Construction" signed a Memorandum of Cooperation on a project for the development of urban construction with the khokimiyat of the city of Kokand. The signing ceremony was attended by the khokim of Kokand, the chief executive officer of Hanshin Engineering & Construction, Mr. Choi Mun Gyu, the chief executive officer of Plus International and other responsible persons. Also, as the main witness at the signing ceremony in the video-conference format, the first deputy chairman of the Korea Uzbekistan Business Association, Mr. Edward Kim, was present.

The volume of investments in this project is planned in the amount of $ 60 million, as a result of which a city development project will be implemented in the form of the creation of housing complexes according to Korean standards for 5,000 families. This project is the first project for the construction of Korean-type residential complexes in Uzbekistan.

Representatives of Hanshin Engineering & Construction stated that, within the framework of the current project, the company aims to further actively promote the development of urban development in Uzbekistan.
