An Academic Conference Was Held to Mark the 30th Anniversary of Republ…

On August 27, an academic conference was held at the business association's conference room to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the Republic of Uzbekistan's Independence and the 29th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Korea and the Republic of Uzbekistan. 

This academic conference was hosted by the Eurasiaturk Institute. The Uzbekistan Embassy in Korea, the Secretariat of the Korea- Central Asia Cooperation Forum, and Korea- Uzbekistan Business Association worked together and had a heated discussion to enhance the economic and cultural development of the two countries.

In a congratulatory speech, Kim Chang Keon (Edward Kim), First Deputy chairman of the association, celebrated the 30th anniversary of the Republic of Uzbekistan's Independence and the 29th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries. Mr. Kim Chang Keon (Edward Kim) also explained the situation of active economic cooperation despite the global pandemic issue and introduced major exemplary projects that are currently being carried out.

Meanwhile, several important figures took part in the conference including Kim Chang Keon, a senior vice chairman of the association, Eunkyung, Oh, a professor at Dongduk Women's University, and Daewan Jeon, a chair professor at Kaemyung University and a former ambassador of the Republic of Korea to the Republic of Uzbekistan. In addition, Saidov Zokir, chargé d'affaires of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Republic of Korea, and Sungin Kim, secretary-general at the Central Asia Cooperation Forum, have also participated in the heated discussion. The discussion was broadcasted live through a YouTube academic conference channel.
