On the 19th, First Deputy Chairman, Mr. Kim visited the Governor of Fergana- Mr. Bozarov.  The discussion was held on the ongoing Kokand New Town Project, the IP Sharing Project of the Korea Intellectual Property Office, and district heating projects. These projects have been in full swing with business support from Korea - Uzbekistan Business Association. 

Governor Bozarov addressed that over the past few years, First Deputy Chairman Kim has been attracting various investments and volunteering activities for the Republic of Uzbekistan, especially for Fergana. He also mentioned that he highly appreciates how Mr. Kim's deed has contributed greatly to the economic and friendly cooperation between the two countries. Governor Bozarov also asked for continuous cooperation and support. And First Deputy Chairman Kim expressed his gratitude that Governor Bozarov has been granting special interest and active support for Korea International University in Fergana, KOICA vocational training institute, Kokand New Town Project, and Special Economic Zone project. Mr. Kim also said that thanks to such interest and support, consequently, many Korean companies nowadays have made successful entries to Fergana and have been developing there.

Meanwhile, during today's meeting, Korea- Uzbekistan Business Association and Incheon Fire Department's humanitarian vehicle donation promotion (one ambulance, two vehicles with fire pumps, and one vehicle with a fire tank) was confirmed.   

With the final preparation in November, vehicles will be sent to the site and donated vehicles will arrive there in early 2022.  Also, both sides agreed to dispatch firefighters in early 2022 for about a month to promote support for fire safety education and training with fire engines.
