On September 2, a delegation of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Uzbekistan visited the Korean Uzbek Business Association and held a meeting on the promotion and cooperation in the field of fire safety between the two countries, on the same day the signing ceremony of the Business Agreement between the two parties was held.

Before the main visit, the delegation of Uzbekistan took part in the International Fire Safety Exhibition in Daegu, organized by the Korean Fire Service from August 30 to September 1. Mr. Juraev Sobir Mirzaevich, Head of the Research Institute of Fire Safety and Emergencies of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Uzbekistan, said: “Thanks to this event, I was deeply impressed by the excellent Korean firefighting equipment,” and also expressed his willingness to cooperate with company TDC to achieve success in the fire safety project, which is planned to be created in the new city of Nurafshan.

The TDC consortium is promoting the development of a Korean smart new city in Nurafshan city, Tashkent region, and is implementing a project with the Ministry of Emergency Situations to build and operate a fire fighting cluster such as a fire station, a fire school, and a public safety center.

The head of the delegation showed great interest in the quality of the Korean fire extinguishing system and educational institutions and stated that he looked forward to the development of the sector and industry in Uzbekistan in the future, including the Korean fire extinguishing system.

This meeting was attended from Uzbekistan by the Director of the Research Institute of Fire Safety and Emergency Situations of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, Mr. Juraev Sobir Mirzaevich, the Director of the Center for Education and Training, Mr. Ibragimov Sodik Isroilovich, and the Head of the Department of Fire and Natural Disasters, Mr. Ganichev Anvar Nazirovich and On the Korean side, the meeting was attended by the Chairman of the board of directors of the Association, Mr. Kim Chang Keon, the General Manager of TDC, Mr. Choi In Chang, and the Head of the Incheon City Fire Department, Mr. Ha Seok Gun.
