Delegations of the Incheon Fire Department (Heo Seok Gon and two others), who are on an official visit to Uzbekistan, on September 27 visited the administration of the Syrdarya region, accompanied by the head of the Association's branch in Uzbekistan, and met with the Deputy Governor Daniyar Madirimov and the head of the regional emergency department Gulom Mukhammedov, and the parties exchanged views on the development and cooperation of fire safety exchanges between the two countries.

The two sides agreed to exchange experience in the field of fire safety to develop the fire safety and fire fighting industry, and conduct joint training to improve fire safety techniques. In particular, it was decided to actively cooperate on the practical use of fire extinguishing systems to prevent fires in multi-storey buildings in Uzbekistan.

In addition, Chairman Heo Seok Gon said that Korean fire engines and fire-fighting equipment will be donated to the Syrdarya region in 2023, and that he hopes to promote further friendly cooperation between the two countries, not only in the field of fire safety but in all areas.

Prior to this, the Incheon City Fire Department, together with the Korea Uzbekistan Business Association, in June 2022 donated 6 fire engines, 2 ambulances and various fire equipment to the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
