Lee Young-Ae, one of the most popular actresses in Korea, officially agreed to be a public relation ambassador for Korea & Uzbekistan. This is because she has played a vital role in promoting Korean culture in Uzbekistan with high view-rating of TV. The drama “Dae Jang Geum”, which she starred in, has been very famous in Uzbekistan that it has been demanded by viewers to broadcast again in spite of televising more than 10 times in 

various local channels. In other words, it has been making a continuous contribution to the spread of “Korean Wave”.

Both Mr. Vitaliy Fen, Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Korea, and Mr. Kim Chang Keon, Chairman of Korea-Uzbekistan Business Center 

(Currently: Honorary Advisor to Prime Minster of Rep of Uzbekistan) attended to conclude the agreement including official letter of appointment to her 

,which will be presented by the Republic of Uzbekistan during her next visit to Uzbekistan. She also pledged to make efforts to improve cooperation of 

cultural exchange and growth of travel industry in both countries.
