On June 20, First Deputy Chairman Mr. Kim Chang Keon visited the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Seoul and held a meeting with Ambassador Mr. Bakyt Dyussenbayev. During this visit, as part of the CSR activities for Ethnic Koreans (about 100,000 people) settled in the Republic of Kazakhstan, First Deputy Chairman Mr. Kim Chang Keon delivered 100 hanboks for Ethnic Koreans and had a conversation on various topics.


Ambassador Mr. Bakyt Dyussenbayev expressed his sincere gratitude to the Association and all concerned parties for their warm-hearted preparation and support and said that the donation of hanboks would be of great help in reminding the identity of the Ethnic Korean community living in the Republic of Kazakhstan. Furthermore, Ambassador Mr. Bakyt Dyussenbayev mentioned that this would be a great opportunity to serve as an exemplary case for the promotion and development of friendly cooperation between the two countries. First Deputy Chairman Mr. Kim Chang Keon responded by thanking everyone for their efforts through active participation in collecting hanbok.

 

Meanwhile, the Korea - Uzbekistan Business Association's hanbok support event for Ethnic Koreans in Central Asia is being actively promoted in cooperation with the Incheon Metropolitan City, Incheon Council of Women, Incheon Saemaul Women's Association, Pyeongtaek City, Gyeonggi-do, Rotary Club, and various companies affiliated with the Association. The following donation of hanboks have been currently supporting the Uzbekistan Korean Association, Kyrgyzstan Korean Association, Kazakhstan Korean Association, and Tajikistan Korean Association, and it plans to expand the support to universities with Korean language departments, King Sejong Institutes, etc. in Central Asia.
