Delegation from Syrdarya region visits Korea

From December 18 to 22, the delegation of the Syrdarya region of
Uzbekistan, headed by the Deputy Governor, Mr. Bakhodir Botirov, was paid a
working visit to the Republic of Korea. During the visit, the delegation held a
meeting at the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Seoul with the first deputy chairman of
the Association, Mr. Kim Chang Keon, and representatives of several member
companies of the Association, including DH Media, Hankyung and Evervolution, and an
agreement was signed on the creation of media production plant, food production
plant, fruit farm, hotel, and kindergarten in the Syrdarya region.
The delegation also visited Sun Moon University, held meetings with
representatives of companies involved in attracting labor, and signed a
memorandum of understanding with the rector of Sun Moon University, Mr. Moon
Sung Jae, on the establishment of a branch of Sun Moon University in the
Syrdarya region. In addition, the delegation visited the city of Gwangju, where
it discussed and signed memorandums of understanding with the Gwangju City
Hall, the Korea Vocational Skills Development Institute, Gwangju University and
the Naju City Hall on attracting seasonal workers and students.
In particular, the delegation
visited the mayor's office of the sister city of Pyeongtaek and met with the
mayor of the city, Mr. Jung Jang-seon, to express gratitude for the donation
of 84 computers and 24 printers from the city hall of Pyeongtaek to 12 schools
in the Syrdarya region, and also presented a memorial letter of gratitude to
the mayor of Pyeongtaek, Mr. Jung Jang-seon and Pyeongtaek City Council Chairman Mr. Yu Seung-young.
This official visit was held at the invitation of the first deputy chairman of the Association, Mr. Kim Chang Keon, who accompanied everyone during
all days of the visit, he stressed that the Association will continue to
actively support the member companies to enter the market of Syrdarya region
and strengthen the activities of CSR, and Mr. Bakhodir Botirov, deputy governor
of Syrdarya region, promised to provide maximum support and facilities for the
companies that will enter the region.
