On 25 October, First deputy chairman Kim Chang Keon, accompanied by a delegation from the Association, including Secretary General of the Association, Jung Sang Won, visited the Agency for Plant Protection and Quarantine of the Republic of Uzbekistan and held meetings with the General director, Mr Ergashev Ibrohim, and heads of key Ministries.

The main agenda of the meeting was to support marketing of Uzbek fruits (cherries, pomegranates, grapes, melons, etc.), vegetables and various nuts exported to Korea and also discussed issues of supporting quarantine licensing of Korean fruits imported to Uzbekistan.

Following the meeting, the two sides agreed to set up a task force on relevant projects to increase bilateral trade in the near future and develop relevant industries through active trade.
