Association Chairman Kim Young-gu and First deputy chairman Kim Chang Keon were officially invited to observe the 26-27 october parliamentary elections (upper and lower houses) in Uzbekistan.

On the 26th, the day of advance voting, they visited key districts of the capital Tashkent and prepared polling stations together with Mr Aminov, Deputy Chief Prosecutor of the Prosecutor General's Office, and on the 27th, the day of voting, Chairman Kim Young-gu went to Ferghana region and First Deputy Chairman Kim Chang Keon went to Syrdarya region to observe the voting together with the governors (Mr Bozarov and Mr Mahmudaliev) of the respective regions.

Parliamentary elections in the Republic of Uzbekistan are held every five years through a democratic process and take place under a bicameral system with 65 members of the Senate (10 appointed by the President and 55 direct) and 150 members of the House of Representatives (direct).
