Appointment Ceremony of the New Deputy Chairman, Lee Sung Hwan

On March 19, a formal ceremony was held at the Tashkent branch office of the Korea-Uzbekistan Business Association to officially appoint Mr. Lee Sung Hwan as the new Deputy Chairman.

Mr. Lee currently serves as Chairman of the Korea ICT Association, Chairman of the Chungcheongnam-do Provincial Regulatory Commission, and Chairman of the Mecenat Association. Through these roles, he has been actively involved in a range of economic initiatives, contributing significantly to national economic growth and the advancement of corporate culture. In his new capacity as Deputy Chairman of the Association, Mr. Lee is expected to offer full support for the establishment of the Association’s Central Regional Branch Office in the Republic of Korea. His leadership is anticipated to further enhance economic cooperation and exchange between the Republic of Korea and the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The Korea-Uzbekistan Business Association is presently in the process of forming its second executive leadership team. This new board will consist of capable and distinguished individuals dedicated to promoting economic development in both countries. The inauguration of the new leadership team, scheduled for the first half of 2025, will mark a significant step forward in the Association’s ongoing mission to foster bilateral cooperation.
