The Association officially started the project to send Uzbek students to the Republic of Korea after getting requests from local authorities and major universities in the Republic of Korea, as well as signing agreements with the relevant ministries of the Uzbek government.

This project has been implemented over the past year at the official request of local authorities and major universities in Korea and is the foundation for addressing chronic problems such as population decline, declining school-age population, and acute labour shortages by sending the best Uzbek students to leading Korean universities, providing them with high-quality education, and subsequently assisting them in finding employment and settling in.

Kim Chang Keon, Director-General of the Association, and Chairman of the Education Subcommittee (Director, former Head of Department at the Ministry of Education) Kim Jae-geum have successively concluded agreements with leading universities in Seoul and the metropolitan area, as well as key regional universities across the country, finalising partnerships and contracts with 12 leading educational institutions.

In particular, during direct in-depth discussions with university presidents, Director General Kim Chang Keon emphasised that this project could become an important starting point for the development of the national economy and progress in the field of education, and asked each educational institution to provide active assistance and support, promising to make every effort to ensure that the project becomes a virtuous cycle through prompt cooperation with key relevant ministries of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
