On 5 March, Association Chairman Kim Chang Keon visited the Association of the Korean Cultural Centre of Uzbekistan in Tashkent and held talks with Chairman Viktor Park (Deputy of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan) on the creation of a historical museum of Korean origin, as well as held friendly talks on various topics.
In particular, during today's meeting, Chairman Park sincerely requested that the Association explore opportunities to actively support the exhibition of memorabilia and historical materials in the exhibition hall of the Koryoin Historical Museum, which is currently being constructed by the Ministry of Overseas Koreans of the Republic of Korea, after its completion. In response, Association Chairman Kim Chang Keon stated that, given the Association's ten-year history of various donations and volunteer activities in support of the Association of Korean Cultural Centres in Uzbekistan, the Association will actively seek and develop areas in which it can support the construction of the History Museum.
At the same time, Chairman Kim Chang Keon participated in various volunteer and charity events for the Korean community in Uzbekistan. These include volunteer work in the fields of medicine and culture, donations of hanboks, support for Korean orphanages, assistance in holding events for the Korean community, and support for exchange and cooperation initiatives. These activities were carried out in cooperation with companies affiliated with the association, relevant Korean government ministries, local authorities, and various organisations.
