On 27 March, Chairman Kim Chang Reon visited the Ministry of Mining and Geology and held a meeting with First Deputy Minister Feruza Khamidova.

During the meeting, a wide range of issues were discussed in detail, including an overview of projects for the development of mineral deposits in Uzbekistan, as well as investment attraction and support for Korean companies, relevant procedures, etc.

Uzbekistan possesses rich reserves of various minerals, such as gold, tungsten, copper and rare earth elements. Recently, these resources have attracted considerable interest from global companies (from China, Germany, Russia, Turkey, Canada and others), accompanied by active investment and the development of deposits. During the meeting, First Deputy Minister Peruza expressed to Chairman Kim Chang Keon his hope for the active participation of leading Korean companies in investment and the development of deposits, and also promised them various incentives and support.

At the same time, the meeting was attended by directors of departments from the Ministry of Mining and Geology, and it was decided to visit, in the near future, together with Korean companies implementing investment projects in the field of deposit development, to promote projects related to investment and development.
