On May 31, Governor of Samarkand region Mr. Erkinjon Turdimov with Ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Korea Mr. Vitaliy Fen visited Korea-Uzbekistan Business Center, for active bilateral exchange and cooperation in the future. During the visit, he had a meeting with the Chairman of the Korea-Uzbekistan Business Center, Mr. Kim Chang Keon (Currently: Adviser of Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Trade & Investment Cooperation) and especially requested to cooperate with Samarkand in order to develop the tourism industry in Samarkand. Mr. Kim Chang Keon also promised to actively cooperate with many tourists in Korea to visit Samarkand which is the second city of Uzbekistan with rich in historical heritage, and also famous for its many UNESCO-listed tourist attractions.

Moreover, Governor of Samarkand thanked the Korea-Uzbekistan Business Center for its contribution to the economic, cultural and social development of both countries and for its pivotal role.
