Visit of the Korean Economic Delegation to Namangan Region

On June 14, 2019, about 50 Korean economic delegations took part in a business forum held by the government of Namangan region. Governor Mr. H. Bozarov noted that relations between Korea and Uzbekistan has been strengthened as both countries have become special partners during the visit of President Moon Jae-In to Uzbekistan in April. He also marked that this visit of the Korean economic delegation makes an important turn in the history of Namangan.

The governor expressed his gratitude to the Chairman of the Korean-Uzbekistan Business Center, Mr. Kim Chang Keon (Currently: Adviser of Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Trade & Investment Cooperation) and to the Ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Korea, Mr. Vitaliy Fen for their contribution to the economic development of the two countries. Mr. Kim Chang Keon and the Ambassador of Uzbekistan Mr. Vitaliy Fen also thanked the Governor of Namangan for his warm welcome and hospitality. They promised to make more efforts to develop the relations between businessmen from Namangan and Korea.

Presentations in various sectors were held during the official business forum between the government of Namangan and the Korean economic delegation，after  B2B and B2C meetings between Namangan local companies and the Korean economic delegation. The meeting was attended by companies from both countries in the field of information technology, hospitals, education, architecture, agriculture and etc. with MOU(memorandum of understanding). 

After the forum, the delegation visited textile factories and exhibition halls, which became important for establishing the textile business and related cooperation.
