28th anniversary of the Republic of Uzbekistan

On September 2, 2019, the 28th anniversary of the Republic of Uzbekistan was held at the Lotte Hotel in Seoul. About 600 people, including South Korean government officials, diplomats from various countries, and some of the representatives of Korean companies took part in this anniversary hosted by the Embassy of the Rep of Uzbekistan in Korea. 

The anniversary of the Rep of Uzbekistan began with the national anthems of Uzbekistan and Korea. Then the Ambassador of the Rep of Uzbekistan in Korea, Mr. Vitaliy Fen, gave speech and expressed his gratitude to guests by mentioning successful projects of the economic industry and education in the past year. Following the congratulatory speech of Minister of health and welfare Mr. Park Neung-hoo, the chairman of the Korea-Uzbekistan Business Center Mr. Kim Chang Keon (Currently: Adviser to Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Trade & Investment Cooperation) gave speech about remarkable development of exchange, cooperation and friendly relations between Uzbekistan and Korea. He also mentioned that the relationship between the two countries has been upgraded as a special partner after the visit of the President of the Rep of Korea Moon Jae-in to Uzbekistan in April this year and that further development can be expected. In addition, he gave detailed introduction to the investment environment and various benefits of Uzbekistan to the entrepreneurs who attended this event.

Moreover, 2019 is the 27th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Uzbekistan and Korea.
