International Investment Forum “Invest in Samarkand”

On 22-23 November 2019, the First International Investment Forum “Invest in Samarkand” was held in Samarkand and the National Exhibition of Regional Manufacturers “Made in Samarkand” was organized.

The forum was attended by more than 310 representatives from 31 countries, including Kazakhstan, Russia, Korea, China, Japan, the USA, Spain, India, Turkey, Italy, and others.

The main purpose of this forum was to further the economic potential of the Samarkand Region, attracting foreign direct investment, familiarizing investors with the conditions and opportunities.

After the Investment Forum, the B2B, B2G, and G2G meetings were held between representatives of foreign and local companies. Particularly, Park Hyun Cheol, general secretary of Korea-Uzbekistan Business Center participated in this forum for implementing Samarkand Golf Complex Project. During the meetings, MOA was signed between the Khokimiyat of the Samarkand Region and Korean companies: Hanshin Public Construction Co., Ltd & Plus International Implementer.
