The Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the Republic of Korea organized video conferencing between the deputy chairman of the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan on geology and mineral resources A. Kadyrkhodjaev and the chairman of "Shindong Resources", the chairman of the Korea Uzbekistan Business Association Kim Yong Gu. 

The event addressed issues related to accelerating the implementation of the project to develop a metal deposit at the "Sautbai" site in the Navoi region. 

Particular attention was paid to the phased implementation of this project, in particular, the early signing of a loan agreement between the joint venture "Uz-Kor Tungsten LLC" and "Shindong Resources", as well as an increase in capital in the joint venture.

Also, the deputy chairman of the Korea Uzbekistan Business Association, which was officially established in April this year, Kim Chang Keon argued that since the problem of COVID-19 causes problems in investment cooperation and business development between the two countries, this association will formally maintain video conferencing and business relations with the government of Uzbekistan and relevant institutions in order to facilitate communication and contacts between Korean companies and relevant organizations of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
