The opening news of the Uzbekistan labor migration office
The opening of the new Uzbek labor office was
held in the building of foreigner labor center, Huekseok-dong in Kwangju city
on Sep 12th, 2018.
Chang Keon, CEO of Evergreen Motors Co., Ltd., Honorary Consul of Korea, and Trade
Representative of Uzbekistan attended the meeting as well.
Mr. Lee Yong-Seop discussed the management of the new labor office and the improvement
of the working environment.
The meeting was scheduled by Mr. Kudbiyev Sherzod Davlyatovich, who was
supposed to visit Korea to attend the opening of Uzbek labor office in Kwangju.
During the meeting, Mr. Lee Yong-Seop will be expecting that the opening of the Gwangju office will contribute to the improvement of worker's rights, resolution
of grievances, and solutions to problems in terms of local
manpower structure. The mayor also mentioned that we will actively support the office if necessary.
Mr. Kudbiyev Sherzod Davlyatovich, Minister of Employment and Labor in
Uzbekistan mentioned that as Kwangju is one of the cities with most Uzbek people residences,
we have maintained a
long and friendly relation, and therefore it is the best place to establish the office.
The office will be operated as a key control tower whereby Uzbek people spread
all over the nation can be protected and abide by Korean law properly.
Moreover, Gwangju office is expected to conduct a crucial role in order to
develop bilateral nations' cooperation.
Right after the meeting, the minister visited a Korean village where 5,000 people live,
and had a good lunch, warm greetings, and encouragement.
At the end, he participated in the opening of new Uzbek labor office, and had a
meeting with local workers in order to discuss about the working status and the improvement of residential
environment. Of course, he also asked them to obey the regulations in Korea.
He is planning to return to his country on the 14th after finishing additional schedule
in Seoul on the 13th.
