Investment Forum for Energy Sector in Korea-Uzbekistan Business Center

On September 20th “Investment Forum for Energy Sector in Uzbekistan” was held in UzbekistanTrade Representative in Korea in cooperation with Korea District Heating Corporation.

Mr. Edward Kim Chang Keon (President of Uzbekistan Trade Representative Korea/ Honorary Consul of Uzbekistan Embassy/CEO of Evergreen Motors) participated in the forum giving his thankful greeting to the people concerned from Korea District Heating Office. He also mentioned status and prospect of the Uzbekistan investment in details to help participants who are working for the part vendors related to heating and environmental energy. 

Mr. Alisher Abdusalomov, Counselor of Investment and Trade in Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan gave a presentation of overall economic sectors’ conditions in Uzbekistan. Particularly, information that the investment in Uzbekistan for three to ten years has a variety of tax exemptions, and privileges of supply infrastructure by Uzbekistan government has attracted much attention from attendees. 

In concluding section, Mr. Lim Ho-Sung, Team Manager of Global Cooperation Department in Korea District Heating Office, announced that they had provided the infrastructures of local heating and solar energy in Uzbekistan and Mongolia from 2009 to 2013 as nonprofit business, and it would be pleased for participants to advance Uzbekistan with Korea District Heating Corporation.
