Uzbekistan will study the experience of the higher education system in South Korea 

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Uzbek-Korean International University in Fergana. This educational institution was created in accordance with the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan of August 23, 2019. Education is provided on a paid basis in accordance with advanced curricula and programs in Uzbek, Korean and English. 

The university is designed for 4 thousand students. In the last school year, 720 boys and girls completed their first year. 11 experienced teachers from South Korea were invited, and in the future the number of Korean teachers will reach 43. 

This year, a new building was built for this international educational institution. To this end, more than 10 million US dollars of foreign investment was attracted.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev talked with the university rector Park Joo Hu and Korean teachers. The President of Uzbekistan showed interest in the curriculum and content of the training, student performance.

The university provides education in the humanities and engineering specialties. In particular, tourism management, pre-school education, management and computer accounting, Korean language and literature are taught. The institution also trains qualified specialists in the field of mechanical engineering, automotive, electrical and electronics, architectural design, computer engineering, energy and chemical engineering.
