Today, with the assistance of the Embassy of our country in the Republic of Korea, the Korea Uzbekistan Business Association negotiated between the executive director of Hanshin Engineering & Construction Choi Moon Gyu and the kokim of Kokand M. Usmonov through video conferencing.
The meeting was also attended by Deputy Chairman of the Korea Uzbekistan Business Association under the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy of the Republic of Korea Kim Chang Keon and President of Plus International Kim Dong Yul.
During the event, the parties discussed the construction of modern multi-apartment residential complexes on the territory of Kokand City. It is planned to implement an investment project in the city of Kokand on a total area of 34 hectares.
Hokim Kokanda informed the South Korean partners about the favorable conditions for the successful implementation of the project, including an established network for the delivery of building materials, the availability of necessary infrastructure (electricity, gas, roads) and others.
Choi Moon Gyu, Executive Director of Hanshin Engineering & Construction, said that despite the current epidemiological situation, the South Korean side is interested in the speedy implementation of this project. In this regard, a request was expressed to provide data on the construction site (topographic surveys, information about the seismic state and others) in order to begin preliminary preparatory work on the design of structures. Choi Moon Gyu also announced his readiness to send Hanshin Engineering & Construction specialists to Uzbekistan in early July, who will directly deal with the design and preparation for the construction of these residential complexes.
During the discussions, an agreement was reached to continue regular contacts through video conferencing and the prompt exchange of necessary information to expedite the practical implementation of the investment project.
