On June 12, a video conference was held at the Korea Uzbekistan Business Association to open the Korean cosmetics factory in Kokand, Ferghana. The meeting was attended by the mayor and deputy mayor of the city of Kokand Usumanov Maruf, as well as the head of the Kokand Free Economic Zone. In Korea, at a meeting, the president of Group Eight Song Byeong-jun, vice president of Yoo Jun-ho and senior vice president of Kim Chang-gun, general secretary of Park Hyun-cheol and embassy staff.
Currently, cosmetics imported from Russia, France and Italy, including Korean cosmetics, are sold in Uzbekistan through online and offline stores. Korean products have good recognition and trust, but their price competitiveness is low due to high tariffs and logistics costs. Therefore, thanks to the creation of a local production plant, we held constructive consultations with the city of Kokand on a localization strategy to maintain good quality and achieve price competitiveness.
On this day, the mayor of Kokand presented a variety of environmentally friendly medicinal plants, fruits and dairy products that can be used as cosmetic raw materials in the neighboring area, as well as supporting the production site and basic infrastructure in the FEZ KOKAND. We asked for speedy progress, describing in detail the cooperation and the advantages and benefits of the city of Kokand, such as cooperation and export to neighboring countries.
Meanwhile, President Song Byong Joon, who introduced the Samindan drama with Lee Yong-e in the title role, plans to start using LEE Nature cosmetics to create this cosmetics factory. Observing the positive interaction with the environmental conditions of the city of Kand, Mr. Son promised to visit the project site and continue the project, since the restrictions on flights due to COVID-19 were removed.
