Videoconference on Shindong Resources' tungsten development project

On October 19, a video conference was organized at the Korea Uzbekistan Business Association in the city of Incheon between the First Deputy Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Laziz Kudratov, Chairman of the Korea Uzbekistan Business Association Kim Yong Gu and Deputy Chairman of the Association Kim Chang Keon. The meeting was also attended by Deputy Energy Minister Sherzod Khodjaev, Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for Geology and Mineral Resources Azam Kadyrkhodjaev, Deputy Khokim of Navoi Region Kamoliddin Khasanov, Head of the Representative Office of the Korea Uzbekistan Business Association in Uzbekistan Yoon Jeon Seok and others.

During the negotiations, issues were considered on the provision of external infrastructure facilities of the project at the expense of the state (electricity, water, natural gas, fire station), reduction of tax rates for the use of subsoil (royalties) on tungsten, as well as solving the problem related to the site of the project of the Korea Uzbekistan Business Center and Seoul Moon. The Uzbek side expressed its readiness to provide all kinds of assistance in the successful implementation of the project and its promotion for the development of the country's industry.
