▶ Medicine

1. Strengthening health cooperation in the framework of the SCO (UzDaily, 5.18)
 5.14 The agreement between the SCO member states on cooperation in the field of healthcare has entered into force.
  -This document has been prepared with the aim of increasing the level of health of citizens of the SCO member countries and strengthening cooperation between member countries in accordance with the document. Mutual cooperation through the exchange of experience and technology in related fields, such as the provision of medical care in situations and natural disasters.

2. President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the National Children's Hospital (Presidential Administration, 5.20)
  ㅇ President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the recently built National Children's Hospital (Yashnabad district, Tashkent city).
  The National Children's Hospital, built with the support of the Korean government (EDCF), is a hospital complex with 280 beds, equipped with world-class equipment that can accommodate up to 250 outpatients.

3. Construction of a Samarkand hospital with 100 beds per month (Details, 5.28)
  ㅇ For the treatment of various diseases, such as COVID19, it is planned to build a hospital for 100 beds in Samarkand within a month, as well as to build a quarantine container-type facility that can accommodate about 1000 people next to the hospital.
    -18 hectares of land allocated for the construction of the hospital and the hospital will be managed by the Ministry of National Defense after the end of the crown.

  1. It is planned to create vocational schools for advanced training in each region (UzDaily, 5.8)
  ㅇ President Mirziyoyev signed the Decree “On efforts to improve the quality of education and academic research in the field of mathematics”
  -In accordance with the Decree of the President, a professional school with an in-depth study of mathematics will be created in each city and district, and school students will be selected on a competitive basis.
2. British business school will be opened in Tashkent (Details, 5.9)
The Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan adopted a document on the "Establishment of the British University of Private Business in Tashkent."
    - The university will work from the academic year 2020/2021, classes will be organized on project management, logistics and supply chain management, entrepreneurship and innovation, international e-commerce and the digital economy, and classes will be conducted in English.
3. To prevent the spread of COVID19, the work of preschool, national and state schools, as well as educational institutions, has been suspended (KoronavirusInfo, 5.20)
  ㅇ Although restrictions on Corona 19 were lifted from May 8, the Special National Committee continued to take measures to terminate educational institutions, such as kindergartens, public schools and educational institutions, to prevent the further spread of Corona 19. It was announced that further work will be resumed.
4. Rectors of universities in Uzbekistan and Russia discussed a plan for cooperation in the field of education (UzDaily, 5.28)
  ㅇ Rectors of more than 120 universities in Uzbekistan and Russia held video conferences to discuss practical implementation and prospects for cooperation in the academic and educational fields.
  - At this meeting, preparations for the 2nd Russian-Uzbek educational forum to be held this year in Moscow, as well as the state and prospects of cooperation in the field of academic education between the two countries were discussed.
