Education Trends
1. Ferghana Korea International University, a project worth 11.9 million dollars. (Gazeta.uz, 6.12)
- Korea International University, located in the Ferghana Region △ Construction of the Korea International University △ Construction of a 7-story building with a laboratory and an electronic library, △ Creation of 4 kindergartens in Ferghana, Andijan, and Namangan for a total of $ 11.9 million. The project is underway, the construction project of the Korea International University is completed.
- Korea International University consists of 7 faculties, including Korean language and literature, preschool education, computational accounting and tourism, and 27 teachers (12 of which are professional teachers in Korea).

o The Deputy Minister of Higher and Secondary Special Education of Uzbekistan, the Governor of the Khorezm Region and the President of the Winery University have signed an agreement on the establishment of the International University of Malaysia in the Khorezm Region (city of Urgenchi).

o According to the National Development Strategy of Uzbekistan for 2017-2021. and following the results of President Miriev’s visit to Turkey on February 10, a videoconference was held between representatives of both countries, attended by representatives of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, Vice Minister of Higher and Secondary Education, Minister of Trade of Uzbekistan, representatives of the Turkish University of TOBB University of Economics and Technology (TOBB-ETU) and discussed the establishment of the Tashkent branch.

Medical industry
1. The Korean government provides assistance to Uzbekistan in the amount of $ 5 million. (UzDaily, 6.25)
ㅇ The Korean government has decided to provide the Government of Uzbekistan with US $ 5 million for “emergency comprehensive support” to combat the Corona 19 virus and plans to sign a memorandum of understanding between KOICA and the Department of Investments and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan.
- According to the Memorandum of Understanding between Uzbekistan and Korea, the Korean government plans to support the government of Uzbekistan in preventing the spread of Corona 19, including the development of the Corona 19 mobile application, support for socially vulnerable people, and the transfer of medical experience and medical supplies.

The Ministry of Health has announced five private medical facilities that can test Corona19 (Swiss Lab, Tibbiyot Dunoshi, Vitros Diagnostics, Genotexnologiya Akfa Medline). From June 25, Corona 19 PCR can be tested in the above hospitals.
※ As of June 24, the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan allowed private medical institutions to conduct Corona19 PCR tests for a fee. Relevant hospitals have contracted with regional central sanitation and quarantine centers, conduct diagnostic certification assessments and the Corona 19 PCR test.
